Pedal Another Mile

Bicycling, death, life after death.

Sunday not-so-fun day

Billy Jo has been in bed all day, since 8:00 last night.  She's complaining of stomach pain again, so the poop didn't offer as much relief as we hoped.  She's awake now, as visitors have come by, but I told her to stay in bed - we can send people upstairs.  It's easier on her in the long run. Thankfully, she didn't fight me.  She tried a bit of baby food today, hoping the consistency would sit better with her, but a few bites of that and the pain increased, so we stopped for now.

NyQuil indeed got the better of me last night and I didn't get much further in the book.  This morning, though, I've gotten about a third of the way through.  I've used the Kindle app's highlighter feature quite a bit.  There's a lot of similarities I recognize in this book, and it's brought back some memories, both good and not-so-good.

I also found an app for Mac for 90% off that is supposedly useful for organizing writings and thoughts.  Several people have said I should write a book, and while I'm still not sure I agree, a $1.99 app on sale is a no-brainer... just in case.  My blog posts have come from the heart - there's very little thinking involved in these.  Just thinking about writing a book may cause me "writer's block".  So, I think I'll just type away and see what mangled mess comes out as a result, and then hopefully use this app to organize it.  Or I won't.  We'll see.

In other news, our niece Taylor turned 18 yesterday and our friend Michele's present to her was to pay for the tattoo she wanted.  She got it on top of her foot (ouch!) and it is like Billy Jo's on her wrist.  Here's a pic of my (now healed) tattoo next to Taylor's (click for a larger view):
