Pedal Another Mile

Bicycling, death, life after death.

One holiday down

Did a lot around the house this morning, then went this afternoon to spend Christmas Eve with Brian (and Stacy, the kids, his sisters, brother-in-law, and nieces).

I ate more today than I have all week. We played some board games, watched the kids open presents, and then I was getting tired so I left about 7:30.

I'm home and doing ok. Part of it is that I was used to Billy Jo working holidays all the time. If she were working she'd likely have been on a 12-hour shift today. I think that made it easier on me.

I'm still not in a "Christmas-y mood" but I'm not being a shut-in grinch, either.

Tomorrow is Gram's house.

Oh yeah, this morning Dan came over and we began mapping out possible routes for RAGBRAI so we can book hotels. I'm not kidding - I am a primadonna - no tent for me this year. I have dubbed him the logistics man, and he's already started booking rooms. Once the route is announced in late January he will go back and cancel a shitload of them.

Here's my Instagram pic plus my classy caption :)

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
