Pedal Another Mile

Bicycling, death, life after death.

I'm home.

I left right after the doctor visited. He told me he expected to see her name on the list of patients who passes overnight. He is amazed she is still alive.

I talked to Billy Jo for a few minutes. Made sure she knew I was going home or crazy and home sounded better. Made sure she knew that I understood if my presence (jesus I'm pretty smug, aren't I?) is what's keeping her here that I'm not offended in the least if she passes while I'm gone.

I came home for the first time since 10:00am last Friday to find it completely cleaned. Thanks to Lena and Tracy for that as well as being here for the medical company to come pick up all the stuff. It means so much to me that I was able to walk into "normalcy" - thank you thank you thank you.

I showered, shaved, the past week's clothes are being washed, and I'm going to take a nap in my own bed for a few hours. I hope "that" phone call wakes me before my brain does.
