Pedal Another Mile

Bicycling, death, life after death.

Pain Level: Zero

For the first time in longer than I can remember, you are pain free.
I love you. I promise you I will be ok.

February 10, 1975 - December 15, 2012

Billy Jo passed away at 2:54pm. Her mom and the nurse were with her. Right before I left. mom said that she was going to open the door. Both her mother and grandmother wouldn't go until the door was opened. She opened the door, washed her face, and a few minutes later she took her last breath. She said it was no more different than the thousands of breaths she took this week - just the last one. So she went as peacefully as we could have hoped for.

Service details will be coming soon. Again, it was her wish that flowers be omitted. If you are considering sending some to the service, please make a donation to Stand Up to Cancer instead. The money you send to them may save someone from the same fate as Billy Jo, and that's a much more beautiful thing than flowers.
